Meet the Principal
Dear Movement School Bridge View Families,
I am delighted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Founding Principal of Movement School Bridge View Elementary! I am excited to be joining the North Charleston community and even more excited to provide your scholars with a high-quality education.
My name is Bobby Miles and I bring with me 17 years of experience in education, with a strong passion for academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that allows all scholars to learn and grow.
My educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Winston-Salem State University, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University, and a Graduate Certificate in Middle Grades Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various educational roles, including as a middle school Science teacher, an Instructional Coach, an Assistant Principal, and Principal for Rocketship Public Schools. Each of these experiences have provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students, parents, and educators.
At Movement School Bridge View, it is my goal to build a strong culture of excellence and achievement, and to work collaboratively with our amazing staff to provide an enriching educational experience for your scholar(s). I believe in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas, promotes positive interactions, and values the unique talents and contributions of every individual.
I firmly believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to student success, and I encourage all parents and guardians to actively engage in their child’s education and participate in the vibrant school community that will exist at Movement School Bridge View.
I am truly thrilled to embark on this journey with all of you and look forward to getting to know each and every one of our scholars and families!

Meet Movement School's CEO
Kerri-Ann T. Thomas was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and her master’s degree in education from Columbia University. She became a teacher, dean/assistant principal, principal and superintendent for the Achievement First Network in Connecticut and New York. As a principal she made history at Achievement First as the first turnaround school to make the most growth and outperformed the district within one year and leading the number 1 elementary school in Hartford, CT. As a superintendent at AF she led the New York Elementary schools in East NY and was the entire NY ES lead. KTT relocated back south and took the role of CAO at Movement Charter schools in Charlotte, NC. Months later she became the CEO of Movement Schools partnering with school teams towards the Movement mission and its expansion. Kerri-Ann is also the author of two children’s books called “Roll Call” and “The Coffee Shop.” Another fun fact is that she owns a tea shop called Brooklyn Tea in Atlanta, GA. As an educator, pushes students and peers to believe that “although you are a product of your environment you do not have to become a duplicate of the majority.”
